We recently had the chance to chat with Inam, who works as the Director of Monetization and Partnerships (Europe) in our London office and asked him why he joined TikTok and how he nurtures his team to achieve their full potential.
Why did you join TikTok?
After 16 years of experience in the industry and developing a deep understanding of video, display, and mobile, I was excited about the potential that TikTok offers as a new, emerging platform.

What do you do on a daily basis?
In my role, I help brands understand more about what the platform does and how they can build a presence on it. On top of educating partners, my team also finds creative ways to develop original content for them. Most recently, we invited top creators to a movie studio to develop original content based on movie scenes. My workday is varied and that's what keeps my job interesting. My days mostly revolve around coordinating my team; helping them understand how each of their projects contribute to TikTok's overall success.

How do you build a successful and collaborative team?
I am present and available for my team to support and develop what they are doing. On a fortnightly basis, I bring the team together to socialize and get to know each other outside of their tasks, building a family unit that cultivates a collaborative atmosphere within the work environment.
Why would you recommend somebody to join TikTok?
TikTok offers opportunities, learning, and development - it's the idea of being part of an organization that's just scaling up and the endless possibilities attached to that.
Also, there are lots of very different personalities at TikTok, but everyone's humble and open, and I think that's one of the beautiful things about working here.
