About the Team We are the quality assurance team behind TikTok's global media network, ensuring seamless video experiences for millions of users worldwide. Our team specializes in the critical infrastructure that merges live streaming and real-time communication (RTC) networks, providing the backbone for TikTok's rapid global expansion. Our engineers work across diverse technical areas including TikTok business testing, media network transmission validation, test architecture design, stability engineering, and test automation development. This multi-functional scope offers unique opportunities to impact systems that handle billions of video streams daily. With teams based in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Sydney, we operate as a truly global engineering force. We've built strong collaborative partnerships with TikTok's product teams, embedding quality at every stage of development. Join us in shaping the infrastructure that powers one of the world's most dynamic platforms. Responsibilities 1. Taking ownership of product quality on live-streaming/real-time communication systems from backend including designing test strategy, writing test cases, executing functional/performance/regression cases, verifying bug fixes and giving test reports; 2. Responsible for tracking task progress, assessing potential risk, coordinating across teams, providing delivery with good quality; 3. Responsible for developing automation of new features and regression test cases and building CICD related work; 4. Responsible for building/optimizing development and QA processes to help improve quality and efficiency; 5. Introducing new technologies or innovative ideas to help improve quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant; 2. Proven work experience in black-box and white-box testing, functional and performance testing, experience in backend testing is a plus; 3. Demonstrated coding skills in Python/Go/Java; 4. Excellent learning, troubleshooting, and communication skills; 5. Passionate, self-motivated and good teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience on automation test framework like Pytest/testNG; 2. Live Streaming or CDN related industry experiences;
