Team Introduction AIGC Support within Data Cycling Centre (DCC) provides applied science support to MLEs, PMs and other partner stakeholders to monitor, assess and improve the data annotation quality of video captioning, image captioning, and various other ML modeling tasks in an effort to improve proprietary GenAI models and improve ROI of existing annotations operations that involve vendors and crowdsources. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below: Monday, May 12 Monday, May 19 Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26) Monday, June 9 Monday, June 23 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Responsibilities - Lead BI efforts that show daily monitoring of key metrics around annotation quality. - Author and improve existing ml pipelines for scalable and low latency execution. - Improve existing models within the team such as predictive models for estimating average handling time for annotations, etc. - Work with Data Solutions team and MLEs to examine annotations produced by various GenAI models being experimented and propose suggestions by utilising techniques from NLP, statistics, Computer Vision (CV), etc. - Support applied scientists in their efforts to build AI powered solutions for subjective annotation programme as a whole. - Expand existing or author new SQL and Python scripts designed for testing modules built by applied scientists on the team in order accommodate new requirements. - Contribute to automation efforts within the team by learning and applying MLOps technology for data ingestion, documents parsing, processing unstructured data, etc. - Have certain Data Analysis ability, use SQL to fetch data, analyze, and build simple Data Dashboards, and be proficient in commonly used work software. - Learn and apply existing GenAI LLMOps tools and technology such as LangSmith, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification - Pursuing Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics or other relevant majors. - Some knowledge of common NLP architectures and models, i.e. Transformers and its variants for sequence modeling such as BERT, S-BERT, T5, GPT, etc. - Some knowledge and familiarity with Foundation Models. - Familiarity with utilizing pre-trained models for in-depth text analyses, processing and evaluation - Python Proficiency: Possesses intermediate-to-advanced skills in Python programming, showcasing the ability to develop and implement robust data science solutions. - SQL and Data Modeling Expertise: Demonstrates intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in SQL, databases, and general data modeling, ensuring structured, efficient, and scalable data management, and leveraging data to inform strategic decision-making.
