About the Team: Our legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the Global Legal team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for litigation matters in the countries where the platform operates. This position will be part of the Global Legal Litigation Department, and will partner and collaborate with the Americas Legal team focused on Brazil and Latin America, as well as Global Legal Privacy colleagues. The following describes the responsibilities and requirements for the role. Responsibilities: - Work closely with in-house litigation counsel on general litigation matters, reporting to the Litigation Counsel Lead. - Screen and track physical and digital correspondence related to litigation matters, ensuring all deadlines are met. - Produce and maintain reporting metrics on litigation, pre-litigation, and regulatory matters. - Manage the internal billing system, review invoices, support approval workflows, and request adjustments from law firms. - Track matter deadlines, update dockets, and maintain a litigation calendar for administrative and judicial proceedings. - Prepare financial reports for auditing and accounting purposes. - Manage the legal hold process for Brazil and LATAM matters. - Map the activities of the litigation team and create standard operating procedures and work instructions for the team and outside counsel. - Assist in implementing and optimizing the matter management internal system, designing workflows, reports, tables, graphics, and visual aids. - Automate internal office processes and ensure compliance with procedures and internal targets. - Organize folders and update the legal management system, ensuring accurate tracking of litigation matters. - Control and analyze budgets, including outside counsel fees and lawsuit contingencies. - Apply business intelligence and data analysis on litigation procedure databases to support risk mitigation and opportunity identification. - Work closely with the Legal Operations team to ensure smooth workflow and system updates.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field (e.g., Business Administration, IT). - Experience as a paralegal or in legal operations within a law firm or legal department. - Strong computer skills, including document review technology and workflow proficiency. - Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail. - Effective written and verbal communication abilities. - Capacity to manage diverse tasks, prioritize effectively, and learn new technologies. - Analytical skills for interpreting legal and financial information, coupled with cultural awareness and the ability to work in a diverse environment. Preferred Qualifications: - In-house experience, particularly in tech, digital media, media or advertising industry. - Knowledge of Excel VBA / Script and experience in programming language. - Some certification in program/project management. - Experience in matrixed global organizations.
