As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. We want to ease and inspire clients to achieve their goals, explore more possibilities, and create value with TikTok. As a team member here, you will be able to utilize mixed methods to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet business needs. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our TikTok Monetization UED team, focusing on advertising content review and risk control systems. In this role, you will own end-to-end design for moderation and compliance workflows that ensure ads meet TikTok’s content and policy guidelines. You will work on consumer-facing guideline applications as well as internal reviewer tools, balancing a strong understanding of TikTok’s community standards with expertise in commercial advertising systems. Your work will help safeguard the platform experience, improve reviewer efficiency, and ensure policy compliance at scale. This is an opportunity to shape one of TikTok’s most critical trust and safety areas—driving impact at the intersection of user safety, advertiser experience, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design Ownership - Lead the design of end-to-end ad review and risk control workflows, covering advertiser submission, automated review, manual review, and feedback loops. - Ensure designs meet both TikTok C-end content guideline requirements and operational needs. - Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and policy teams to translate complex compliance rules into intuitive user and reviewer experiences. User-Centered Problem Solving - Conduct user research and usability testing with both internal reviewers and advertisers to identify pain points and improvement opportunities. - Design scalable solutions for high-volume content review scenarios, leveraging automation, AI-driven moderation, and efficient UI patterns. Craft & Execution - Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and detailed specifications for both desktop and mobile platforms. - Ensure consistency through alignment with TikTok’s design systems and brand guidelines. - Apply data insights and policy updates to continuously refine the review experience. Cross-functional Collaboration - Collaborate with Global Monetization Business Integrity team. - Facilitate alignment between C-end experience and internal moderation tools, ensuring a seamless advertiser journey from submission to approval. - Act as a design advocate, promoting user-first thinking within a policy-driven environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 2 years in consumer-facing platforms or content moderation systems. - Strong familiarity with TikTok content/community guidelines or equivalent experience in social media content policy. - Experience in ads review, trust & safety, or risk control workflows. - Ability to translate complex compliance and policy requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences. - Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and collaboration in agile product environments. - Fluency or proficiency in Mandarin, for product launches and communication with external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in monetization platforms, advertiser tools, or B2B2C products. - Knowledge of machine learning moderation systems and their UI implications. - Experience designing for global markets with cultural and regulatory considerations. - Understanding of operational workflows in large-scale moderation teams.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137244 - $318960 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
