Responsibilities
About the Team: The Search Recommendation and Traffic (R&T) team is responsible for ensuring that all search terms recommended to users are safe and meaningful, guiding them toward content that aligns with their interests while maintaining platform integrity. Our mission is to drive TikTok’s traffic growth while safeguarding our community. Responsibilities: - Evaluate cases reviewed by BPO sites for accuracy and consistency. - Conduct workflow and policy trainings for internal and external stakeholders. - Perform root cause analyses to improve accuracy, efficiency, and policy application. - Apply strong judgment to assess trend relevance, timeliness, and safety across sensitive topics, including child exploitation, political and religious views, violence, and adult/sexual content. - Review large volumes of content with attention to detail and consistency, ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines. - Collaborate cross-functionally across teams, time zones, and shifts to ensure alignment and continuous improvement. - Escalate unclear cases or emerging themes to ensure policies remain relevant and effective. - Support ad-hoc projects as assigned, including those outside core expertise areas.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or quality assurance. - Deep understanding of U.S. culture, media, and internet usage habits. - Familiarity with social media platforms, especially TikTok. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret dashboards, reports, and fluctuation patterns. - Excellent time management and ability to work independently in volume-heavy workflows. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and/or Feishu Docs. - Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays (Sun–Sat coverage required). Preferred Qualifications: - Strong awareness of U.S. cultural, social, and media trends, with the ability to identify emerging themes across entertainment, sports, politics, tech, and lifestyle. - Prior experience in training or coaching peers. - Proven leadership experience in a moderation or quality environment. - Experience with documenting workflows, escalation practices, and collaborating across global teams. - Background in content moderation, trend operations, or user behavior analysis. - Resilience when working with sensitive or graphic content. - Team-oriented mindset: able to balance individual performance with collective success and build strong relationships with peers, BPOs, and POCs.
