Responsibilities
About the Team Our team is at the forefront of building and optimizing content safety systems. With a focus on optimising and advancing content safety, we leverage advanced large language and multimodal models to enhance review efficiency, risk control, and user trust. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, we deliver scalable solutions that keep pace with rapid global growth. Responsibilities - Lead the vision and roadmap for TikTok’s AI moderation capabilities, leveraging foundation models, LLMs, and multi-modal AI to improve detection accuracy, coverage, and scalability. - Drive end-to-end product development from research and prototyping to production to enhance automated and human-in-the-loop moderation systems. - Quantitatively optimize safety review efficiency, accuracy, and latency using metrics such as model precision/recall, reviewer throughput, and incident response times. - Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to translate evolving trust and safety requirements into data-driven product strategies and scalable platform capabilities. - Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI usage in moderation, ensuring model decisions align with global policy standards and ethical guidelines. - Lead and grow a team of product managers focused on AI safety innovation, fostering collaboration and technical excellence across global offices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or above with 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading user-facing products at global scale. - Proven experience launching AI/ML-powered safety, moderation, or risk control systems used by millions of users. - Demonstrated success improving measurable metrics such as model accuracy, moderation latency, or operational efficiency through AI solutions. - Strong technical fluency, with proven ability to work closely with technical stakeholders on topics such as model training, data pipelines, and multi-modal AI architectures. - Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing executive and global teams. - Track record of building and leading high-performing product management teams, including managing managers. Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, or related discipline. - Experience integrating LLMs or foundation models (open-source or proprietary) into large-scale production systems. - Prior experience leading safety, integrity, or content moderation initiatives at a global tech platform. - Familiarity with risk evaluation frameworks, policy enforcement mechanisms, and real-time safety operations.
