Responsibilities
We are looking for a privacy lawyer to join our Global Monetisation Legal Team. An ideal candidate for the role will have advertising-related product counseling or relevant law firm experience and a solid understanding of online advertising, data protection, and platform laws and regulations. Responsibilities: - Analyse global advertising related products and features and provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions. - Provide specialist advice to engineering, product and business teams on compliance with existing and emerging data protection and consumer protection laws. - Conduct and advise on compliance and accountability documentation including data protection impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments, and legal assessments relating to international data transfers; - Provide specialist privacy advice, including legal basis analysis, data subject rights, transparency materials (including privacy policies, UX design, help centre content etc.); and - Support on queries and engagement with advertisers, agencies, regulatory authorities and others.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Qualified lawyer and admitted to practice in the EU or UK. - 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer, including at a law firm and/or in-house. - Experience with at least one of the following or related legal areas: data protection, platform, consumer protection, or advertising-related laws and regulations. - Highly organised, self motivated person with strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and credibly. Preferred Qualifications - Experience collaborating in a multi-stakeholder environment, navigating complex issues, and driving high-impact projects. - Experience working proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment. - In-house experience at a technology, social media, or digital advertising company - Ability to provide sound advice often in ambiguous situations.
