Latin America is one of TikTok's fastest growing regions – and there are plenty of positions open for culturally engaged, creative people to create and grow together. TikTok has a presence in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Miami and more, with a specific focus on cultivating roles in the advertising, digital sales, and trust and safety spaces.
Sunshine Castilleja, Natalia Arévalo, and Daniela Okuma – based in Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil respectively – spoke about these new opportunities, as well as TikTok's ongoing commitment to creating an inspiring space for cultural expression, collaborative work, and team growth throughout Latin America.
"We have a great opportunity to position TikTok as a relevant player in these markets ," says Okuma, who was recently promoted to General Manager of Business Solutions at TikTok Brazil after three years as Head of Sales. "I see huge opportunities, especially in the performance budgets from advertisers."
TikTok is increasingly popular in Latin America. Many content creators are showcasing their talents, sharing their stories, and connecting with a diverse audience at a national, and even global level. This has captured the attention of many brands across Latin America.
"They recognize the value and power of TikTok as a tool to engage with their audiences in a more personal way," Castilleja, the Head of Agencies in Mexico, says.
And naturally, the rising interest of brands is leading to more positions at TikTok for those passionate about audience engagement and client collaboration.
"We are content!" Arévalo, General Manager of Business Solutions at TikTok Colombia says. "There are amazing opportunities in the digital space to develop our creativity and inspire everyone around us; be it our users, brands, or teammates. We are making our clients dreams come true with our campaigns, as well as fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth among our own team."

Shortly after joining TikTok, Arévalo and her new team received the Best Content Platform of the Year at the Publicidad y Mercadeo awards, one Colombia's most prestigious advertising awards. It is given to industry leaders for their creativity and innovation. "This experience made me realize that the company I joined has a real impact across the industry and the market."
"Together, we embark on this journey to transform the industry," says Castilleja. "Having a local team in Latin American countries is crucial to driving the growth and success of TikTok in the region."
For Castilleja, TikTok wasn't just the best option for doing this type of innovative work; it was the only option. "When I asked myself, 'If I wanted to take my career to the next level, where would be the best place to do that?', the answer wasn't just TikTok because the company is trendy and innovative, but because it was truly changing the paradigms and behaviors of users."
Internally, Castilleja also aspires to grow a diverse, supportive team by leading through example. "I find great joy in serving as a model of how a person with apparent differences can be free to lead. TikTok believes deeply in helping people achieve success based on their talent and effort, while also supporting their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or any other human aspect."

All three women emphasize the uniquely empowering environment of the company.
"The culture, passion, and excitement of the teams in Latin America is priceless," agrees Okuma. "I see opportunities for upskilling people in our organization by sharing our collective knowledge. We are working on accelerating new hires in their positions, as well as investing in the development of teammates who have been growing with us for several years. We work really hard, but we also have fun." In short, the collaborative mindset and engagement help the team move faster and build more.
"It's amazing how the culture of a company can drive you to become the best version of yourself and surpass all the limitations you believe you have," Castilleja adds. She gives an example. While she used to have a fear of public speaking, working at TikTok has provided tools and resources for her to improve her presentation skills and leadership abilities. "I have discovered a newfound confidence in expressing my ideas and presenting them in front of audiences."
With the robust support system in place at TikTok, employees can create a community where individuals thrive, break through barriers, and achieve remarkable success. Across Latin America, positions in sales, advertising, operations, and other strategic creative fields are available.
