Team introduction: The Mobile Partnerships are a critical means by which we support various company objectives, including user growth & retention, marketing & brand, data & infrastructure, content, and product/tech. The primary focus of this role is on mobile partnerships with ongoing opportunities to engage in other spaces and verticals. About the Role: This Business Development Role is suited for an experienced professional to build on existing relationships and forge new high-impact partnerships to help drive growth and optimization for TikTok (and other ByteDance products) across partners based in North America. The primary focus for this role is to lead, execute, and scale key mobile industry innovation programs such as Preload agreements, GSMA Open Gateway, Network Innovation partnerships, Tentpole events, and further distribute TikTok and all other ByteDance products. This high-speed role requires you to have a global mindset with a great deal of complex problem-solving across time zones and a tireless entrepreneurial spirit. We expect you to find solutions and create opportunities with minimal to no hand-holding. We are largely unencumbered by red tape, but the building process is a critical step towards scale. Be prepared to build an organizational structure that empowers ongoing, sustainable growth. Main responsibilities: - Be a brilliant story teller to influence internal and external partners, engage them on your vision and take it all the way through to execution and beyond - Discuss and brainstorm ideas for new initiatives, define their scope, and lead commercial negotiations with partners in close alignment with cross-functional teams - Focus on finding new opportunities across Mobile and beyond that identifying new business opportunities that create "Win-Win" scenarios for TikTok, Partners, and End Users - Drive growth by forging, maintaining, and deepening key partner relationships, directly contributing to TikTok's expansion in North America - Pitch diverse internal and external teams to adopt your ambitious ideas through actionable business plans; take first-of-its-kind partnership concepts from inception to pilot to scale - Initiate, negotiate, and execute partnership agreements (including LOI, Term Sheet, and Framework Agreements) both at a local or global scale - Programme / project management with internal and external stakeholders across User Growth, Product, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Business teams on the conceptualization, development, implementation, and go-to-market strategy of new partnership initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Experience at a leading tech or telecom company - Experience with both strategy and execution in a cross-functional environment - Strong contacts and experience executing partnerships in the mobile space across Latin American countries Preferred Qualifications - A deep understanding and proven experience in business development, product management, commercial, or marketing roles, ideally at a leading tech, telecom, OEM, or consulting firm - In-depth knowledge and experience in mobile industry technologies and trends, and proven track record of successfully leading and implementing key innovation programs within the industry. - Strong partner management skills and experience working cross-functionally, managing large / global projects with multiple stakeholders - Excellent communications, ability to recognise needs and concerns of key partners as well as internal stakeholders - Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly implemented in a cross-functional and global role TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
