Responsibilities
The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading internet companies. Our quality assurance engineering team is responsible for keeping an e-commerce ecosystem stable, secure, and intuitive for our users. Role Overview: We are developing a software quality platform that applies AI to strengthen how code changes are reviewed, tested, and validated before reaching production. The objective is to improve correctness and reliability by: - Applying AI-assisted review and analysis to code changes; - Generating realistic synthetic test data; - Enforcing clear quality gates across different testing stages; - Reducing regressions and increasing confidence in production deployments. This role focuses on designing and implementing systems that enable AI to support quality decisions, while deterministic checks and policies remain authoritative. Key Responsibilities: - Develop mechanisms for generating synthetic test data that reflect production structure, scale, and relationships without using real production data. - Build AI-assisted systems for test generation across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Define and enforce expectations around correctness, regressions, and behavioral changes. - Ensure AI-generated outputs are explainable, traceable, and safely bounded. - Improve the reliability and signal quality of automated testing outcomes. Scope of Work: You will contribute to a platform where: - Build and ingest synthetic test data mirrors production-like characteristics while remaining safe and compliant. - AI powered system which makes code review, unit tests, integration tests and end to end testing easy and productive. - Evaluate test results against consistent quality criteria before promotion to later environments in deployment pipelines. - Failures are summarized and explained in a way that supports efficient resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Full-stack development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering, including designing and developing complex distributed systems, while also building and maintaining frontend components. - Strong software engineering experience, with practical knowledge of applied AI technologies,such as prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, and adaptation methods. - Experience designing or maintaining synthetic test data for complex systems, including preserving structure, relationships, and edge cases at scale. - Deep understanding of software quality practices and automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Sound judgment in balancing automation, safety, and correctness in production systems. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with AI-assisted developer tools or automation systems. - Familiarity with modeling real-world data characteristics.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $177688 - $341734 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
