Responsibilities
About the Team We're looking for a user experience (UX) Content Designer to work on a fast-growing vertical, in collaboration with Product Management, Design, Marketing, Engineering, and Localization team members. Through clear, expressive writing, you'll transform product features and concepts so that they're intuitive and easy to understand. As an advocate for our users, you'll use design thinking, empathy, and data to help shape and refine our product and identify opportunities to build better experiences. You're independent, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving. You have experience juggling multiple projects and prioritizing them to have the greatest impact on your team and the company. You're also a strategic communicator, helping to define product narratives in conjunction with your team. You'll write and edit content for mobile and web interaction flows, as well as both apply and help evolve our style guidelines. You have a strong intuition for writing clear, concise copy that is easily translated and localized for our global audience. Responsibilities - Write and edit UI text to help TikTok location services users navigate our product - Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, engineers, ops, and localization to set a high bar for the overall user experience - Manage and prioritize projects with multiple stakeholders across China and Singapore - Drive process improvements to optimize collaboration - Lead content audits to identify opportunities and drive consistency across the product - Contribute to our content standards and be a champion for best practices - Understand how to balance business requirements and customer needs in building features - Ability to critique the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences - Collaborate with, influence, and drive consensus with stakeholders and their feedback - Synthesize internal and external feedback to improve content clarity and quality - Complete high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - English speaker with excellent written and oral communication skills - 3+ years experience in content design for consumer-facing products, (preferably products with technical mobile and web tools) - Experience collaborating with Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Localization teams - Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal - Self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements - Writing portfolio including, but not limited to: user interface copy, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional emails, style guides, glossary additions or product launch content Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on a global product with international partners - Experience using Figma
