Responsibilities

Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder. As the Head of T&S Product - Search and Account, you will manage and grow our global team of product managers to own and drive the safety features and strategies for our short video platform, ensuring our platform is safe for our global community. Your scope includes the safety of all TikTok features, including accounts & profiles, Live, comments, search, direct messages, etc. You and your team will work closely with policy leaders, program managers, engineers, and data scientists around the world to design comprehensive strategies and plans. Your team will analyze and identify risks, own designing features, working with engineering to build them, testing and rolling out solutions, then continuing to monitor and improve them after they ship, keeping our users safe as new threats and opportunities evolve. Responsibilities - You will manage and grow a strong team of product managers to identify gaps and enhance safety features across our community. - You will define a safety product roadmap, set metrics to measure effectiveness, and drive cross-functional efforts to achieve success. - You will analyze and identify risks and leverage in-app product solutions or back-end processes to effectively address risk and work with the engineering team to implement product solutions.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - You have extensive Senior Product Management experience in Trust and Safety, Search, Integrity, Minor Safety or Fraud Detection. - You bring significant global leadership experience in hiring and growing teams of product managers. - You have product management experience in Consumer-Facing mobile or web internet industries where you have built social networking or video content applications or other consumer internet applications. - You have the ability to identify, analyze and design product solutions; a proven track record of pushing ambitious product changes. - Exceptional ability to work in a high tempo global environment, where you can adapt and respond to day-to-day challenges of the role. - You bring resilience and commitment to self-care in managing the emotional demands of the role. Preferred Qualifications - You have experience managing managers of Product Managers. - You bring excellent cross-functional project management skills, good communication skills; a passion to unite people behind a common goal; ability to work across time zones and locations. - Experience and interest in Trust & Safety product management.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $350000 - $650000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
