The App Ads and Gaming team empowers TikTok's global monetization (billion-dollar business) via efficiently delivering application ads on TikTok. Our mission is to push the boundaries of large-scale ads delivery systems and lead the innovations of TikTok's personalized online advertising. Hence, you'll have a chance to get deeply involved in our large-scale distributed systems and state-of-the-art machine-learning algorithms. As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern on the App Ads & Gaming team, you will make efforts to develop novel machine learning solutions for ranking, build scalable foundations, and launch various products that maximize the efficiency of deep funnel app ads delivery. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below: - Monday, May 12 - Monday, May 19 - Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26) - Monday, June 9 - Monday, June 23 Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date). Key Responsibilities: - Work on developing a large-scale App Ads delivery system to improve accuracy. - Explore multi-stage ranking models, conduct data analysis, and develop feature engineering. - Participate in the innovations of core App Ads systems using machine learning models, ranking algorithms, etc. - Partner with product managers, data scientists, and product strategy & operation team to launch new App Ads, products, and features.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Pursuing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant majors. - Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Go, C/C++, and Python. - Familiarity with online experimentation methods and analytics. Essential knowledge and skills in statistics. - Curiosity toward new technologies and entrepreneurship. Preferred Qualification: - Experience with recommender system projects. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $60.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
