Responsibilities
Our Global Legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the Global Legal team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for litigation matters in the countries where the platform operates. Responsibilities: - Work closely with in-house litigation counsel and e-discovery team members on general litigation matters, pre-litigation disputes, and related matters. - Manage the legal hold process across global litigation and regulatory matters. - Serve as a liaison between the legal team, security, engineering, IT personnel, system admins, records management personnel and also outside counsel and vendors. - Coordinate case management tasks, ensure compliance with litigation holds, protective orders, and e-discovery requirements. - Support attorneys with management of discovery including assisting with custodian interviews, managing document collection, and working with outside counsel and e-discovery teams for processing and production. - Oversee and track physical and digital correspondence related to legal matters through service of process and mail, ensure items are routed to appropriate teams and stakeholders. - Research and organize factual information and technical data. - Produce and maintain reporting metrics on litigation, pre-litigation, and regulatory matters. - Track matter deadlines, update dockets, and maintain a litigation calendar. - Work closely with the Legal Operations team to ensure smooth workflow and system updates. - Assist in implementing and optimizing internal processes and creating standard operating procedures for litigation team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience. - BA/BS or Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.- Strong computer skills, including document review technology and workflow proficiency. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage diverse tasks and varied workloads, prioritize effectively, and learn new technologies. - Knowledge of the litigation process, discovery procedures, and knowledge of electronic data collection and production. - Cultural awareness and the ability to work in a diverse environment of different cultures, backgrounds, and orientations. Preferred Qualifications: - End user and administrator understanding of eDiscovery technology (specific experience with Exterro is a plus).

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $83600 - $143555 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
