Team Introduction: TikTok's Content Ecosystem team is responsible for the health and prosperity of content users and creators to improve DAU in the long term. Our team deeply dives into the following fields: tracking the whole content ecosystem and finding potential challenges and opportunities; cooperating closely with the RD team on model recognition, content understanding, and algorithms, targeting to balance the traffic in different formats, optimize traffic distribution, content diversifications, creator experience of moderation, user experience of interactions, and more problems. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period and must be able to commit to either of the following Internships - From January to June - From May to August (Summer) Responsibilities: - Assist in TikTok ecosystem issue discovery operations, supporting the identification of potential ecosystem issues and collaborating with cross-functional teammates in the resolution process. - Support the Development of Issue Discovery Methodology and Metrics: Participate in the design and implementation of basic issue discovery methodologies, including steps for identification, classification, and resolution. Learn to apply existing frameworks and help refine metrics to evaluate solution effectiveness under guidance. - Conduct Preliminary Trend Analysis and Issue Investigation: Use data analysis tools (with training) to assist in identifying potential content quality and experience issues. Support the analysis of issue trends and root causes, contributing ideas for process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement basic preventive measures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Must have a graduation date between Dec. 2026-September 2027 - Fast learner who is self-motivated and results-oriented - Strong logical thinking, with a passion for exploring the root causes of problems and solving them systematically - High sensitivity to content and cultural dynamics, with a good understanding of internet industry trends and regulatory landscapes Preferred Qualifications: - Data Skill : Proficiency in SQL and report generation - Good sense and understanding of ecosystem and content - Responsible and tenacious, can turn ambiguous problems into clear solutions; long-term value oriented. - Create Basic Reports and Visualizations: Develop simple reports and visualizations to present analysis findings and trends, with guidance from senior team members. Ensure information is clear and supports team decision-making. - Engage in Collaborative Problem-Solving: Learn to build collaborative relationships across teams, contributing to problem-solving through communication. Use basic interpersonal skills to participate in collective problem-solving and assist in tracking issue resolution progress using designated tools or platforms.
