We are looking for talents to join us on this exciting journey! Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize well-tested Kotlin and Java software which powers social experiences in TikTok. Analyze and optimize Android applications for efficiency and performance. Support current features and improve and upgrade existing application codebase. Fix known bugs and improve application performance. Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule. Mentor junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications
Qualifications Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Creating secure and stable Android OS applications using Java, Kotlin, or SQLite; Developing an efficient and maintainable mobile Android application using Kotlin; Building a secure database on Android applications to store data using SQLite with encryption and sending data securely to backend using RESTful API; Building automated test scripts using Java or Python for front-end testing, backend API testing, and ETL data automation; Designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts integrated with CI/CD systems, and building robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional and regression testing; and Building and testing software solutions using Agile methodology and DevOps development practices. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $172931 - $259200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
