Responsibilities
Team Introduction: TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the core TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Core app Product Infrastructure, Social, Search, Creation, and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas. Responsibilities - We are looking for a Product Designer to join our TikTok design team. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end experience of key business modules — including video consumption framework and components, account system, and customer service modules — helping millions of users enjoy a seamless and delightful experience. - Own and drive design for TikTok’s core product experience, including video consumption framework, video-related components, and user account & customer service modules. - Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers to define problems, generate ideas, and deliver high-quality solutions. - Participate in every step of the product development process — from early concept ideation, wireframing, and prototyping to pixel-perfect design and post-launch iteration. - Translate product strategy and user insights into intuitive flows and engaging UI, with strong attention to visual quality and consistency. - Rapidly prototype, gather feedback from stakeholders, iterate quickly, and ship best-in-class user experiences. - Continuously optimize designs through data analysis, usability testing, and A/B experimentation to improve key metrics.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Solid experience with UX and UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and well-reasoned design decisions. - Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end — from strategy to launch — with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to rapidly generate multiple design concepts, iterate based on data and feedback, and deliver under fast-paced conditions. - Curious, proactive, and self-driven; eager to explore new ideas and technologies (interest in AI-driven design a plus). - Strong communication skills — can clearly articulate design rationale and facilitate alignment across teams. - Open-minded, collaborative, and resilient when facing feedback and change. - Global product awareness, passionate about improving user experience for diverse audiences. Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience designing for consumer-facing products across mobile and web, ideally in video consumption, social, or content creation products. - Experience working with data-driven design, A/B testing, and continuous iteration. - Familiarity with front-end development or ability to work closely with engineers on implementation details. - Enthusiasm for TikTok and its creator community.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115200 - $255867 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
