About the team Creators are the heart and soul of TikTok. The Creator team's mission is to facilitate our Creator community's growth and development, drive high quality content production and increase creator engagement and product adoption through scaled content and education programs. This team will also create scalable initiatives to build, celebrate, and recognize our diverse and inclusive communities around the world. As Manager, Content Acquisition & Development, you will support and drive the execution of high-quality celebrity-led and digital original content acquisition in Korea, with a focus on partnerships with talent agencies, MCNs, and digital-first studios. In this role, you will manage day-to-day content acquisition and partner relationships, contribute to deal structuring and negotiations, and support the growth of a premium content ecosystem. You will work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to improve content quality, cultural relevance, and long-term platform growth. Key Responsibilities Celebrity & Talent Agency Partnerships -Manage the execution of partnerships with celebrities, talent agencies, MCNs, and digital original studios, including partner sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding. - Support and participate in negotiations with talent agencies on celebrity onboarding, digital original production, content rights, and collaboration models. - Help develop and operate scalable partnership frameworks that enable agencies and MCNs to manage multiple celebrity accounts effectively. - Maintain strong working relationships with key agencies and partners as a day-to-day point of contact. Digital Original Content Acquisition - Execute acquisition and development of studio-quality digital original content, including celebrity-led formats and digital-first productions. - Support definition and prioritization of acquisition opportunities aligned with platform strategy and audience demand. - Manage multiple content deals in parallel while maintaining quality standards and operational consistency. Ecosystem & Partner Development - Support the growth of a sustainable ecosystem for celebrities, talent agencies, MCNs, and digital studios. - Plan and execute partner education and enablement programs focused on content quality, platform storytelling, and production optimization. - Assist with content globalization initiatives, supporting the expansion of Korean celebrity and digital original IP into global markets. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, PR, GR, Legal, and global teams to support celebrity and digital original content initiatives. - Collect partner and market feedback and share insights with Product teams to improve tools, features, and workflows. - Support the local execution of global projects and initiatives related to celebrity and digital original content. - Represent the team in partner meetings, agency sessions, and selected industry events as needed. Performance Management & Operations - Track and analyze performance metrics for celebrity and digital original content portfolios. - Support optimization of deal processes, partner workflows, and reporting frameworks. - Contribute to operational planning, documentation, and internal reporting. - Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - Over 5+ years of experience in content acquisition, production, distribution, or digital transformation within entertainment or media industries. - Experience working with celebrities, talent agencies, MCNs, or digital original studios in Korea. - Hands-on experience supporting or negotiating content, talent, or production-related agreements. - Familiarity with intellectual property rights and contract structures related to content and talent. - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to evaluate content performance. - Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean. Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree. - Experience working at a global content platform, MCN, talent agency, or major media/entertainment company. - Exposure to large-scale content programs involving celebrities or digital originals. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
