Responsibilities
Creators are the heart and soul of TikTok. The Creator team's mission is to facilitate our Creator community's growth and development, drive high quality content production and increase creator engagement and product adoption through scaled content and education programs. This team will also create scalable initiatives to build, celebrate, and recognize our diverse and inclusive communities around the world. As Principal, Creator Marketing – Strategic Programs & Flagship Events, you will own the strategy, design, and execution of TikTok Korea’s most impactful creator marketing programs and flagship events. This role is responsible for strengthening creators as representative assets of TikTok through scaled marketing initiatives, strategic partnerships, and industry-facing events, while ensuring alignment with global priorities and long-term platform growth. You will lead high-impact creator marketing programs that transform active creator pools into marketing and ecosystem drivers, while also owning TikTok’s flagship (tentpole) events including TikTok Awards, Creator Summit, Content Partner Summit, and other global industry programs in Korea. This role operates as an individual contributor with strategic ownership across programs, events, and emerging creator initiatives, working closely with Local, Regional, and Headquarters teams to ensure execution excellence and market relevance. We are looking for a leader who strongly aligns with ByteStyle and demonstrates integrity, along with a proactive, ownership-driven, and execution-focused way of working. This role will be based in Seoul. Creator Marketing Strategy & Strategic Programs - Own the strategy and end-to-end execution of scaled creator marketing programs, defining priorities, success metrics, and execution standards aligned with platform strategy. - Lead strategic creator projects that require cross-functional alignment, external partnerships, and long-term ecosystem thinking. - Elevate program quality by setting clear direction, decision frameworks, and execution bar for marketing-led creator initiatives. - Own strategic creator initiatives for emerging verticals, defining early growth frameworks, creator positioning, and go-to-market approaches in partnership with cross-functional teams. Flagship Events & Industry Programs Ownership - Own the full lifecycle of TikTok Korea’s flagship events including TikTok Awards, Creator Summit, Content Partner Summit, and global industry-facing programs. - Lead event concept development, agenda design, creator programming, and overall experience strategy. - Oversee key operational components including budget planning, staffing models, vendor selection, and program governance. - Source, coordinate, and manage creators, artists, speakers, and partners directly or through external agencies. - Ensure flagship events consistently represent TikTok’s brand, creator ecosystem, and strategic narrative in the market. - Define, track, and evaluate performance metrics for creator marketing programs and flagship events. - Lead post-program and post-event reviews, identifying insights and improvement areas to strengthen future execution. - Build scalable frameworks, documentation, and best practices to enable consistent excellence across creator marketing and event programs. Product Program Alignment & Market Localization - Own local alignment and strategic execution of creator-facing programs originating from Headquarters Product teams. - Translate global product programs into locally relevant creator marketing and event initiatives that drive adoption and participation. - Partner with global product and content teams to provide structured market insights, execution learnings, and feedback to influence future program design. Cross-Functional Leadership & External Partnership - Act as a cross-functional owner aligning Product, Content, Marketing, Partnerships, Comms, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams around shared priorities. - Serve as a primary point of contact for complex internal and external stakeholder alignment, resolving competing needs and driving clear outcomes. - Manage external agencies and vendors with high standards for quality, timeline, and budget discipline.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. - Previous years of experience in creator marketing, content programs, event programs, partnerships, or platform ecosystem roles; proven experience owning large-scale strategic programs and flagship events end-to-end. - Strong experience working with creators, partners, agencies, or content platforms in Korea. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English. - Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to evaluate program and event performance and translate insights into strategic decisions. - Ability to operate with high ownership in ambiguous and fast-changing environment - Hands-on experience managing external agencies and vendors; strong operational skills in budget, resource, and timeline management. Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree. - Experience working at a global tech, content platform, or digital media company. - Experience operating large-scale, industry-facing events or ecosystem programs. - Strong understanding of intellectual property, talent, and partnership structures. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently with strong judgment and execution excellence. - Experience working closely with global stakeholders across regions and time zones. - Strong presentation, storytelling, and strategic communication skills.
