About the Team The Governance & Experience (GNE) team oversees marketplace integrity across the region. We ensure TikTok Shop remains safe, compliant, and trustworthy for users, sellers, and creators. Our team designs and enforces policies, builds governance frameworks, and partners with product and risk teams to deliver a high-quality marketplace experience. Our goal is to balance growth with strong platform safeguards. As a Strategy Manager, you will lead initiatives that enhance seller experience while protecting the platform from compliance and financial risks. You will develop strong expertise in seller journey and use data-driven insights to design scalable solutions that drive sustainable, high-quality order growth. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Risk, Product, and Country Business Partner teams) to identify gaps, define solutions, and translate complex data into clear business recommendations. Ideal candidates are analytical, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Responsibilities - Conduct independent analysis of operational data to generate actionable insights, evaluate solution effectiveness, and support ad-hoc business analysis requests. - Drive strategic initiatives by aligning business objectives with operational execution, securing stakeholder buy-in, and ensuring successful rollout and adoption of changes. - Define and translate business requirements into scalable product and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, system capabilities, and compliance standards. - Assess existing workflows and design optimized future-state processes. Proactively manage timelines, identify risks, and drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth and high-quality implementation. - Serve as the key bridge between country business partners and Product teams, ensuring clear communication, proper expectation setting, and strong alignment throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s) - 2+ years of experience in governance, policy, risk management, platform integrity, or related fields. - Proven experience developing and implementing end-to-end policies or operational strategies. - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including working with stakeholders. - Strong analytical capability with experience handling large datasets and translating insights into actionable recommendations. Preferred Qualification(s) - Experience in e-commerce or technology environments. - Prior exposure to online selling or marketplace operations. - Proficiency in SQL. - Interest in platform governance, risk management, or operational policy. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
