About the Team TikTok Shop's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only our users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. Our mission is to provide world-class service and experience for customers, sellers, and creators. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period. Responsibilities: - Assist in triaging and investigating high-priority e-commerce escalations related to various online risks and harms. - Support the team in conducting root-cause analyses to strengthen GNE's risk prevention and management capabilities. - Monitor key performance metrics and escalation trends to help produce data-driven insights and reports for leadership. - Assist in drafting and updating frameworks, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for emergency management. - Support the gathering of information from Legal, Policy, and Product teams to ensure a unified, cross-functional response to platform risks.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s): - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (Business, Law, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or related fields preferred). - Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems and interpret data to identify trends. - Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to summarize complex situations clearly and concisely. - A "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidly. - Strong attention to detail, essential for conducting investigations and ensuring compliance. Preferred Qualification(s): - Interest in Trust & Safety, platform governance, or global e-commerce regulations. - Technical proficiency with SQL or advanced Excel is a plus.
