Responsibilities
About the team Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. The Long-Term Containment (LTC) team sits in the "Contain" phase of the risk lifecycle. While teams such as Rapid Response and Regulatory Response optimize for speed and near-term risk reduction, Long-Term Containment optimizes for thoroughness - durable enforcement work that prevents the same harm from resurfacing. About the Role As the Long-Term Containment - Violent Behaviours and Dangerous Actors Leader, you will directly lead a team of individual contributors - analysts - responsible for the durable, systemic containment of Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors harms. Going beyond initial incident response, your team owns sustained enforcement on high-risk and repeat Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors issues, ensuring containment is thorough, maintained, and resilient over time, while feeding insights upstream to drive root-cause remediation. This role requires a data-driven, strategic leader with deep command of the risk lifecycle - detection, containment, and prevention. Leading a team of individual contributors across EMEA and AMS, you will set the global containment strategy for Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors harm areas, and convert escalation signals into broad, lasting mitigations rather than one-off actions. You will represent the team to cross-functional partners and leadership translating your team's enforcement insight into the strategies that keep young people safe across the platform. Please note that this role involves exposure to sensitive and potentially disturbing content related to Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors. We are committed to the well-being of our people and provide comprehensive wellness and resilience support to every member of the team. Key Responsibilities - Own the global long-term containment strategy for Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors harm areas, leading a multi-regional team of individual contributor analysts to (1) develop and maintain durable enforcement and (2) partner with program managers to share insights that drive long-term solutions across Policy, Product, and Operations. - Manage the performance, goals, and roadmap of your team, taking accountability for key metrics including escalation reduction, prevalence reduction, recidivism and discoverability. - Move Violent Behaviors and Dangerous Actors harms from reactive handling to durable containment, partnering closely with XFN teams. - Define and report on success measures, expanding individual escalation signals into broader cluster, network, and rule-based mitigations, and standardizing methodologies and best practices for containment across regions. - Represent the team and surface your analysts' findings to cross-functional partners and leadership, and to external safety organizations and coalitions where relevant, informing risk-mitigation strategy at scale. - Drive operational rigor across roadmap, OKRs, headcount planning, and champion well-being, resilience for a team exposed to sensitive content.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years experience in Trust & Safety, Risk, or adjacent integrity domains, including a track record of directly managing and developing a team of individual contributors, ideally across multiple regions. - Demonstrated experience in the Violent Behaviours and Dangerous Actors domain at scale, with a clear track record of shipping systemic, long-term mitigations rather than incident response alone. - Strong data fluency, with the ability to partner with DS and Product teams on systems and to guide teams in turning large datasets into clear, actionable insight. - Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams toward strategic goals. - A proven, genuine commitment to analyst well-being and trauma-informed operations. Preferred Qualifications: - Direct experience leading enforcement for counter-terrorism, violent extremism, dangerous organizations, or organized hate at a large online platform, with clear accountability for durable outcomes rather than ticket-level handling. - Demonstrated experience embedding AI and LLM tooling into Trust & Safety workflows e.g LLM-assisted investigation and enforcement strategies with measurable gains in analyst throughput, enforcement precision, or detection of adversarial VBDA content.
