Responsibilities

As a Procurement Manager for Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) in the US, you will be a key player in building the physical backbone of our e-Commerce logistics network. You will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of critical infrastructure, including warehouse facilities, construction and engineering services, warehouse automation equipment. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale, control costs, and deliver a world-class experience for our merchants and customers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the procurement strategy for a rapidly growing, high-visibility business unit from the ground up. Responsibilities - Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: - Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for key categories, including multi-year warehouse leases, general contractors for facility build-outs, warehouse automation equipment (conveyors, sorters, packaging machines, palletizers, AGV/AMR, AS/RS, and non-standard equipment), MHE (racking, conveyors), and related installation services. - Automation Equipment Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for warehouse automation systems—from equipment selection, solution evaluation, and supplier sourcing to RFQ, negotiation, contracting, production oversight, delivery, installation, commissioning, and final acceptance testing. Ensure seamless integration with facility build-out timelines and operational readiness. - Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify, pre-qualify, and develop a robust portfolio of suppliers and partners across the US. - Lead the end-to-end RFI/RFP/RFQ process, from drafting requirements and evaluation criteria to managing supplier communications and scoring responses. - Perform detailed Total Cost analysis to support data-driven supplier selection and negotiation. - Contract Negotiation & Management: - Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for high-value, multi-year agreements, ensuring favorable terms related to pricing, service levels, flexibility (e.g., termination/expansion clauses), and risk mitigation. - Partner closely with Legal to draft, review, and finalize complex contracts, including commercial real estate leases, construction and staffing vendors, and automation equipment supply and integration agreements. - Establish and manage a robust contract lifecycle management (CLM) process, including performance tracking (KPIs/SLAs), change orders, and renewals. - Supplier Relationship & Performance Management: - Serve as the primary procurement point of contact for strategic suppliers, building strong, collaborative relationships. - Build and maintain a tiered supplier portfolio for automation equipment, spanning national/global giants, regional champions, and niche innovators. - Conduct Joint Business Planning (JBP) with strategic suppliers to align on technology roadmaps, cost reduction initiatives, and service continuity. - Proactively manage supplier risks, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, insurance requirements, and safety standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work hand-in-hand with key internal stakeholders, including Real Estate, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety). - Act as a trusted business partner, providing procurement expertise and market intelligence to guide strategic decisions related to network expansion and operational design. - Drive alignment on project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications to ensure seamless execution of sourcing projects.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s) - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, with a significant focus on indirect procurement categories such as warehousing, logistics, industrial real estate, construction, or warehouse automation equipment. - Proven track record of leading complex negotiations and managing multi-million dollar contracts from inception to completion. - Experience with the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including category strategy development, market analysis, RFx execution, and supplier performance management. - Demonstrated expertise in procurement of one or more categories of warehouse automation equipment, including conveyors, sorters, packaging machines, palletizers, AGV/AMR, AS/RS, or non-standard/custom equipment. Familiarity with the full equipment procurement lifecycle from technical specification and solution evaluation through delivery, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing. - Based in the US and willingness to travel globally for supplier sourcing as needed Preferred Qualification(s) - Direct experience in sourcing and negotiating commercial leases for industrial/warehouse properties and managing relationships with landlords. - Deep expertise in procuring general construction, MHE (racking, conveyors), and warehouse automation systems—including conveyors, sorters, packaging machines, palletizers, AGV/AMR, AS/RS, and non-standard/custom equipment—for warehouse fitouts and build-outs. - Familiarity with the full equipment procurement lifecycle: from technical specification and solution evaluation through delivery, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing. - Strong understanding of relevant compliance areas, including OSHA safety standards, building codes, lien waivers, and certificates of insurance. - Excellent analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to build sophisticated cost analysis models and savings trackers. - A self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $143640 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
